Our Objectives
We aim to promote and represent the interests of Evenley, working closely with the Parish Council. Typically our projects focus on:

• Improving the quality of life of village residents by developing local facilities.


• Protecting the rural heritage of our village.


• Developing our sense of community by supporting and encouraging participation in community events.

Our Projects
Our past and present projects are:

• Working with the Parish Council to lower the housing density of Spencer Close and preserving part of the land for village allotments.


• Publishing "Aspects of Evenley" in November 2002, the story of our village from pre Roman times to the present day.


• Producing and printing the village postcard.


• Publishing "Tales of Evenley", the stories of Cicely Spencer and Bill Buggins of the life and changes in our village in the 20th century, in time for Christmas this year.


• Continuing to work with the Parish Council to find a suitable place to set up a play area for the young children of Evenley.


• Providing support in the hand over of the village shop.


• Creating this website to include information about the village and details of all village activities which want to be represented and with links to related village sites such as the Cricket Club and the Book site.


• Hopefully to produce a third book, "Characters of Evenley" about many of the remarkable characters who have lived here over the years.
