Aspects of Evenley
This book tells the story of Evenley, a small village in Northamptonshire, from pre-Roman times to the present day. It shows how it has developed over time, has been shaped by its past and finishes with a suggested walk around the village.
Tales of Evenley
This new book gives two views of village life from very different aspects. Cicely Spencer describes her life at the Old Manor from 1939 to 1999. Bill Buggins's memoir takes a broader perspective of the changes brought on by two world wars, industrialisation, communications and politics over the last century.
JUST PUBLISHED Characters of Evenley
The third book in the Evenley trilogy, is now on sale at the Evenley Village Shop and the Red Lion.
It tells how our village has evolved between the Second World War and the present day and the Characters who contributed to that change.
The book, which is 128 pages long, has 25 chapters and over 90 photographs and illustrations.
The price is £7.95 as with our other two books, “Aspects of Evenley” and “Tales of Evenley”, which it complements in coverage. However the price of Characters is reduced to £7.00 until 31st December at the Shop and the Red Lion.
